राज्य सरकार द्वारा मुख्यमंत्री सुखविंद्र सिंह सुक्खू की निगरानी में चलाए गए बड़े बचाव अभियान के सकारात्मक परिणाम सामने आए हैं। इस दौरान भरमौर क्षेत्र से फंसे हुए 1166 मणिमहेश यात्रियों को सुरक्षित निकालकर चंबा पहुंचाया गया। सभी श्रद्धालुओं को एचआरटीसी बसों के माध्यम से उनके गंतव्य तक निःशुल्क भेजा गया।
आज वायुसेना के चिनूक हेलीकॉप्टर की 12 उड़ानों के जरिए 524 यात्रियों को भरमौर से एयरलिफ्ट किया गया। तीन शवों को भी भरमौर से चंबा लाया गया। पिछले कल भी 7 उड़ानों के माध्यम से 35 यात्रियों को भरमौर से निःशुल्क एयरलिफ्ट किया गया था।
इसी दौरान, वीरवार को चंबा जिला प्रशासन ने 607 श्रद्धालुओं को भरमौर से चंबा तक सड़क मार्ग से सुरक्षित पहुंचाया। क्षतिग्रस्त सड़कों पर यात्रियों को पैदल चलना पड़ा, वहां उनकी सुरक्षा के लिए पर्याप्त पुलिस बल तैनात किए गए। रास्ते में श्रद्धालुओं के लिए निशुल्क भोजन, पेयजल और अन्य आवश्यक सुविधाएं उपलब्ध करवाई गईं। चंबा पहुंचने के बाद इन श्रद्धालुओं को देर रात एचआरटीसी की 13 बसों के माध्यम से नूरपुर और पठानकोट भेजा गया।
